Hello Vincent,
How are you? Have you arrived in Paris very well?
I hope you are fine and everything is okey. May be you even took a walk around in Lucerne this morning to see the walls?
Just a few minutes before I came back, and had a busy out in Zurich. And tomorrow I’ll be away from school for two days, because of the obligational military pretests.
Thank you again for all yesterday evening. I really enjoyed our discussions and hope you did the same. Also, I’ve been very happy about the two books you gave me, I think that’s the first step in getting closer to the music knowledge :o)...
Good night and start into the next week,
Leander

Dear Leander,
Yes, I really loved the time we spent together and all our discussions and I hope it represents just a beginning...
I hope you will like the two books. I have chosen them because they are not just boring biographies. I really enjoyed reading them. Ravel by Jean Echenoz is not a biography, it’s a novel even if the content is Ravel’s real life. But I remember I laughed a lot while reading it. And Lorenzo Da Ponte is an amazing character. Venetian catholic priest, he left Venice because he had many affairs with women. He of course worked with Mozart (unfortunately this part of his Memoires is very short) but he also lived in London before being a farmer in the US where, when he was very old, he organized the premiere of Il Barbiere di Seviglia by Rossini. A crazy life, I hope you’ll like both.
Following your advice, I visited Lucerne walls on Sunday morning and it was a very pleasant walk under the sun.
Tell me your dates for your trip to Paris. I will take no travel commitment during that period of time (others than the ones I already have). I can’t wait biking with you on a velib! If you have no other previous arrangement, feel free to stay in my home.
Talk to you soon.
Vincent
